How long will you be without a bathroom?
Swapping out a core takes one amount of time; a bathroom with a new layout takes another. So we won't promise a date from behind a desk: after the measurement you get a schedule, and it's part of the contract. The phases run in this order.
Demolition and removal
We take out the old core or bathroom and haul away the debris. The loudest part of the whole job — and the very first, so it's behind you early.
Water, waste and electrical runs
New runs built to current standards. This is where hidden conditions show up — anything extra is quoted in writing before work continues.
Construction and waterproofing
New core walls, levelled surfaces and waterproofing — the layer you'll never see once tiled, but the one the bathroom's lifespan depends on.
Wall and floor tiling, grouting
Tiles laid to the design, grouting and detailing.
Fit-out and handover
We install the sanitaryware, taps and lighting, hand over the finished bathroom — and the 3-year contractual warranty keeps running.

Nobody can give you an honest figure without seeing the place — it depends on the size, the state of the pipework and the materials you pick. Here's how we do it: the online estimator gives you a rough range right away, then we come and measure free of charge and put together an itemised budget with a fixed price. That price goes into the contract and doesn't change at the end.
The fixed price covers the whole agreed scope. If something turns up behind the core or under the tiles that wasn't visible at the site visit — hidden pipework, say — we stop, show it to you and price the fix in writing first. Nothing is done or charged without your say-so. No item ever appears for the first time on the invoice.
